Practitioner Profile for Dean Holzer

Dean graduated from RMIT University in 1998 with a double degree in Applied Science (specialising in Clinical Science) and Osteopathic Science. He commenced practicing at The Canterbury Road Health Clinic soon after qualifying and became a partner at the Practice in 2001.
Dean held the position of Vice-President of the Victorian Branch of the Australian Osteopathic Association for a two year period. He supports the teaching of osteopathic students by providing them with an opportunity to experience clinical practice through observation and tutorial sessions held at the Practice.
He thoroughly enjoys treating a broad cross-section of the community, using a wide range of osteopathic techniques, including Cranial Osteopathy and draws immense satisfaction from successful outcomes for his patients. Acute musculoskeletal conditions, sporting injuries and headaches are among some of the many conditions that particularly interest him.
Dean is a Melbourne man through and through. He enjoys all that Melbourne has to offer, including Sport, Music, Restaurants and Theatre. He is also an avid football fan – St. Kilda is his team.
He met his lovely wife, Angela, whilst at University and they graduated together as Osteopaths. They have a daughter, Ella, who is almost two and a new baby, Joshua. In his spare time, Dean particularly enjoys playing the guitar and drums, having played many gigs with his band over the years. Although his ears are still ringing, he loves listening to loud music!
Dean always looks forward to spending quality time with his family and friends.
