About the Clinic
Our clinic provides 9 experienced Osteopaths and a massage therapist who are passionate about their occupation. All of our Osteopaths are registered with the Osteopaths Registration Board of Victoria and are members of the Australian Osteopathic Association which is the national professional body representing Osteopaths. They have completed a minimum of 5 years full time university study prior to becoming registered.
The Osteopaths at Blackburn Osteopathy are actively involved with further education and with keeping up with the latest research. We have been educators at both the RMIT University and Victoria University undergraduate Osteopathic programs and have lectured nationally and internationally to qualified Osteopaths.
We aim to keep you involved with your treatment and its outcomes via fully explaining our techniques and offering advice with exercise, dietary and ergonomic protocols. We pride ourselves with providing our patients with the most up to date and effective Osteopathic care available.
Patients of all ages are treated safely, effectively and gently using mobilisation and manipulation techniques to ease musculoskeletal complaints.
We accept referrals for patients with chronic conditions under the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) programme, allowing the patient to claim a rebate with Medicare.
Clinic hours are Monday 8am-6pm. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday all 8am-8pm, Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday 8.30am-1pm. Payment is due at the time of your consultation. We accept cash, eftpos, visa, mastercard and offer the HICAPS facility which means you can receive your private health cover rebate, if covered, on the spot.
